Settings
Default Chart Settings and Options
Default chart settings can be set from the Preferences dialog (Configure > Settings from the Console menu bar). You will find the settings for charts in the tabs underneath the Chart tab.

The following are options that are available from the Chart Settings tab:
Mouse Tool – This is the default tool to use on a chart.
Revert to Default Tool – When completing an action with the selected tool, the chart will automatically switch back to the default tool (see above). This only applies to the tools and not the default tools themselves.

Chart Symbol – Option to display the chart symbol/description in the top-left corner of the chart.
Magnet – Allows components to snap to high and low on the chart.
Time Method – The method to measure time for specific time-based components. Trading time will count each bar and assume 24 hour markets to come up with a total number. Elapsed time will count time as most people would e.g. skipping the overnight session and ending at the same time the next day would count as 1-day, whereas the Trading Time method may only count that as 12 hours.

Price Axis Spacing – Default spacing between the numbers that are displayed on the price axis
Minimum Bars – Minimum number of bars to load when opening a chart.

Ctrl+ Alt + Click – Object to draw when the user holds down on the Ctrl (or command in macOS) and Alt ( or option in macOS) Keys and clicks the left mouse button on the chart.

Show Bar Size – Displays the current bar size on the chart
