# Alerts

The following fields allow you to configure preferences for alerts.

**Alert Align** – Align the alert label to the right, middle, or left of the chart.

**Show Buttons** – Show buttons on the alert label (cancel).

**Show Labels** – Show the alert description label.

**Show Lines** – Show the alert line.

**Play Sound** – Play a sound on alert activated.

**Send Email** – Send an email on alert activated. Please see the [Settings > Email](https://docs.motivewave.com/user-guide/console-1/email-configuration) section for set up.

**Attach Image** – Attach an image in the email alert.

**Disable Alert Window** – Disable the pop-up dialog alert window.

**Max History** – Set the max alert history.

**Show Alert History (on chart)** – Show the chart marker where an alert was activated.

**Alert Order Warning** – Show the warning each time you set a trade based off an alert condition. MotiveWave needs to be running in order to send an alert activated trade.

**Alert Deactivate Warning** – Display a warning when attempting to cancel all of the active alerts.

**Show Warning on Clear Alert History** – Display a warning when attempting to clear all of the alert history.
