# IQFeed - Connection Failed

When you are unable to connect to IQFeed and receive a message as below, you would need to install IQFeed's Client software:

If you are running MotiveWave on Windows, make sure that you have installed IQFeed Client that can be found here: <https://iqfeed.net/index.cfm?displayaction=support&section=download>.

If you are running MotiveWave on macOS or Linus, please refer to this link here: <https://iqhelp.dtn.com/apple-linux-other-operating-systems/>. You will most likely require Crossover to do so with any of the latest macOS releases.

After the IQFeed Client has been installed, it will automatically connect to MotiveWave when you log in an IQFeed workspace.
