# How Do I Sync MotiveWave Between Two Computers?

When creating a new workspace or modifying a workspace through the Manage Workspace dialog you are able to set the location to [MotiveWave Cloud](/user-guide/workspace/cloud-workspaces.md). This will upload your workspace to MotiveWave’s servers allowing you access to the workspace from any computer. The workspace is linked to your license key.

The second method would be to use the [backup and restore](/user-guide/workspace/backup-and-restore.md) features under the File menu. To sync between two computers, you would do a backup in MotiveWave on the computer that has the most recent changes. Save the backup file to a USB drive. You would then do a restore in MotiveWave on the second computer by browsing to the backup file you just saved to your USB drive.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.motivewave.com/knowledge-base/faq/how-do-i-sync-motivewave-between-two-computers.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
